NORMAN. Henry I. 1100-1135. AR Penny (16mm, 0.86 g, 11h). Small Profile/Cross and Annulets type (BMC xii). Sandwich mint; Godric, moneyer. Struck circa 1119. Crowned bust left; rosette to left / [+] GODRIIC[V]S • ON • SA[...], small cross pattée with annulet at center; pellet-in-annulet in each quarter. EMC –; SCBI –; North 868; SCBC 1273. Find patina, small irregular flan. Fine. Good portrait. Extremely rare: the only known coin of this type for the mint.
