From the Allan Williams Collection. Lot includes a Spink ticket noting “Wicklewood 47,” so presumably ex Wicklewood Hoard, but not corresponding to lot 47 in the sale of the hoard (Christie’s, 15 May 1990), but possibly part of lot 26.

The only moneyers whose names end in –S on Stephen’s Watford coins are limited to Eadric at Hereford (Mack 16a), Godric at London (Mack 22k & 48), and Thomas at Wilton (Mack 39a).
