CIMMERIAN BOSPOROS, Pantikapaion. Circa 420-410 BC. AR Tetartemorion (6mm, 0.14 g). Facing head of lion / Quadripartite incuse square with windmill/swastika pattern with central star, ethnic in quarters. Cf. Frolova, frühe, Type XIII (unlisted denomination); Anokhin –; MacDonald –; HGC 7, –. Toned, obverse slightly off center. Good VF. Extremely rare as a tetartemorion, unlisted in the standard references, only one in CoinArchives.
