JONATHAN/ M • SWANSON in two lines in right field, JMS monogram in circular badge-like format on artist’s left shoulder, artistic self-portrait with bust placed far to the left margin and looking right, shirt with open collar, arm outswept / NEW YORK NUMISMATIC CLUB • ORGANIZED 1908 •, reverse 2: torch-bearer in Classical tunic holds a coin whose bold rays enlighten ancient civilizations. Edge: 1923 – 4 – 5. IoC p. 171 (this bronze medal referenced). Toned, light cabinet friction on the high points and a few minor marks on the obverse of the silver medal. Otherwise, about as made. No serial number on the silver medal. Serial number 10 on the bronze medal. Two (2) medals in lot. 13 silver and 50 bronze medals were struck.
