Septimius Severus. AD 193-211. AR Denarius bezel set in ancient gold pendant (20.5mm, 3.04 g, 12h). Rome mint. Struck AD 205 or 207. Laureate head right / Annona standing left, holding grain ears and cornucopia, modius at feet to left. Cf. RIC IV 198 and 208. Toned, encrustation, some damage to bezel at 12 o’clock on obverse. Fine. Wearable.
