LA BANQUE DE FRANCE, Fortuna seated left on plinth decorated with crowned eagle facing, head right and right wing spread, holding branch and resting arm on two cornucopia set on serpent-entwined chest; behind, wheel and rudder decorated with facing owl / DEFENSE DE LA BANQUE DE FRANCE, LHUILLER within pearl border in wreath. Collignon, Guerre 1028. Polished, light scratches. EF.

This medal as presented to representatives of the Bank of France who took up arms and defended the bank and city during the Siege of Paris.
