IONIA, Ephesos. Circa 200 BC. Æ (11.5mm, 1.03 g, 12h). Kalligenes, magistrate. Bee / Stag kneeling left, head right; quiver above, [K]AΛΛIΓENHΣ to left. Kinns, Attic, Group D, unlisted magistrate; SNG Copenhagen 262 var. (magistrate). Attractive green patina. VF. Well centered.

Although Kalligenes is unrecorded for the Group D bronze, the name is known on the bronze of Groups A and B, as well as the Attic weight drachms. All of these issues were relatively contemporary, so it is likely that the Kalligenes named on each are one and the same person.
