Commemorative Series. AD 330-354. Æ Follis (17mm, 2.66 g, 6h). Treveri (Trier) mint, 1st officina. Struck under Constantine I, AD 330-331. URBS ROMA. Helmeted and mantled bust of Roma left / She-wolf standing left, head right, suckling the twins Romulus and Remus; two stars above; TRP•. RIC VII 529; LRBC 58. Good VF, dark glossy brown surfaces, deposits.

Commemorative coins were struck to honor both Rome and Constantinople. The Urbs Roma type alludes to the legendary founding of Rome with the imagery of the she-wolf and twins, and the latter alluding to the recent naval battle over the Licinii with Victory advancing from a conquest. The Urbs Roma series was struck throughout the empire at various mints
