Constantine I. AD 307/310-337. Æ Follis (25mm, 3.30 g, 6h). COMITI AVGG NN Type. Londinium (London) mint. Struck circa AD 311-312. Laureate, helmeted, and cuirassed bust left, holding spear in right hand over right shoulder, shield on left arm / Sol standing left, chlamys across left shoulder, holding globe in right hand and whip in left; –|–//PLN. RIC VI –; C&T Supp. No. 1 7.03.049 var. (star in right field; this coin cited and illustrated). Brown patina, slight roughness. VF. Extremely rare without star in field. Another example without the star is known to be in the Stewartby Collection.
