THRACE, Philippopolis. Aelius. Caesar, AD 136-138. Æ (32mm, 23.88 g, 5h). Bareheaded, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Tyche, wearing kalathos, standing left, holding patera and grain ears; to left, river-god Hebrus reclining right on urn from which water flows. Varbanov, Philippopolis V.3.1.1 (this coin); Mouchmov, Philippopolis –; RPC III 753.1 (this coin); Varbanov 643. Green-brown patina, light smoothing. Good VF. Extrmely rare, only two specimens known to Varbanov, three in RPC.
