Diademed bust of Herakles left, lion’s skin around neck, holding club over shoulder / Tyche, wearing kalathos, seated left on throne, holding patera and cornucopia; at feet left, personification of Pontus Euxinus seated right, holding anchor; to right, river-god Lykos seated left, holding scepter and leaning on urn from which water flows. RG 77; RPC VII.2 2094; SNG BN 265. Earthen green patina, deposits, bent flan, flan crack. Near VF. Very rare, only six known to RPC, one in CoinArchives. |
