Samudragupta standing left, sacrificing over altar and holding filleted standard; behind to left, Garuda standard; to right, sa/mu/dra gu/pta in two lines / Ardoxsho, enthroned facing, holding diadem and cornucopia; tamgha to left. Kumar Class II E.1; BKB 32; cf. BMC Guptas 14 and 15; Altekar Class I, Variety G; Bayana 151. Lightly toned, traces of deposits in devices, obverse slightly double struck with worn die, areas of tooling, struck on compact flan. VF.
