M. Baebius Q.f. Tampilus. 137 BC. AR Denarius (18 mm, 3.71 g, 10h). TAMP series. Imitating an official issue of the Rome mint, circa 137-130 BC. Helmeted head of Roma right; X (mark of value) below chin / Apollo, holding branch, bow, and arrow, driving galloping quadriga right. Cf. Crawford 236 (for official issue); cf. Sydenham 489 (same); cf. Baebia 12 (same); cf. RBW 975 (same). Toned, some doubling, some light scratches and minor hairlines. VF.
