LYDIA, Dioshieron. Lucius Verus. AD 161-169. Æ (39mm, 31.39 g, 12h). Struck circa AD 164-165. Bareheaded and cuirassed bust left, seen from behind; cms: two laureate busts of Caracalla / Apollo Tyrimnaios in galloping quadriga left, wearing radiate crown, holding laurel branch and double axe; below horses, river-god Lykos reclining left, holding reed and resting on urn. Hochard –; Kurth 206; RPC VI.2 11372.1 (this coin). For cms: Howgego 93. Brown patina, areas of slight roughness, some obverse scratches. Fair. Very rare, only three in RPC including this coin.
