Northern France, Paris. Circa 1440 AD. Leaf (4.33”x6.14”). Medieval Book of Hours. Illuminated leaf containing prayers. With simple illumination and some floral decorations to one side. From a prayer book worthy of someone of some means for the time. Gold, red, and blue illumination. Ink intact. Slight browning and tiny tears at edge. Some wrinkling. One small hole. Faint spacing making visible. Near VF. Some adhesive remains with one corner adhering to the protective plate behind. Fragile thus.
