Northern Italy, Bologna(?). Circa 1440 AD. Leaf (3.15”x4.69”). Medieval Book of Hours. Illuminated leaf containing prayers. With simple tendril decorations. From a prayer book worthy of someone of modest means for the time. Gold, red, and blue illumination. Ink intact. Slight fading. Slight browning and small tears at edge. Old code and price penciled in at lower margin. VF.
